Messages won't show my sent messages from iPhone on my iMac

I am signed into icloud on my phone and imac. For the past few days messages on my imac only shows received messages and does not show my sent messages. This is new. It has been working for years and I haven't changed anything on my computer. Also, it shows all of the incoming messages as new even though I have read them on my phone. this is also new. And if I send a message from my mac, it's only received part of the time. Ugh.....

All the settings are correct. I logged out on my Mac and logged back in. Still not syncing. 😟

Hi,

Do you mean you Signed Out in the iMessages account ?

Or do you mean you signed in and out of System Preferences > iCloud ?

The later will not do anything as apart from the Apple ID having to be a valid iCloud ID the iMessages server has nothing to do with iCloud.

I signed out of my iCloud account on my mac. I also signed out in Messages. restarted my mac and then signed back into iCloud account. same result.

Hi,

So you did both.

Do you get any error sort of alerts in the main Messages Window ?

Such as Any Contact in the "To" spot going Red and saying they are "Not Registered with iMessages " ?

Or any Sent iMessages getting marked with an Exclamation Mark and the text "No Delivered" ?

Sometimes if the Apple ID is not logging in properly but you have set up Text Forwarding then you see this instead of blue names:-

(it can also happen if the iPhone you are sending to has become De-registered)
